This is hands down my favorite book I’ve ever read. I was 100% invested in the charters’ lives from page one. To say that I couldn’t put it down is an understatement. Long after I finished the book I still find myself wondering what these people I’ve grown to love are doing, as though they actually exist out in the world somewhere.

The Nightingale is a great representation of women in the war and the sacrifices and hardship that they endured. It tells the unspoken and imaginable bravery of women in WW2, through the two sisters. Read with the warning of how hooked you will be of this book and the effect it will leave with u; in tears and appreciation for the women during the war.
